I Wish I had Writen This Letter 

Michael West loved George Will's editorial the other day on D.C. voting rights as did I. However, Mr. West points out that to be consistent if you argue that only the "several states" can elect representatives and therefore D.C. cannot because it is not a state, then D.C. residents should also not have to pay income tax because the 16th Amendment to the Constitution only allows Congress to levy federal income taxes among the "several states." Great point.
