More Trouble For The New School
Dion Haynes of the Washington Post has been doing an excellent job documenting the problems facing the New School for Enterprise and Development, including a planned $100,000 salary payment to the Chairman of their board of Directors and another $500,000 for work Mr. Charles Tate did before the school opened in 2000. D.C.'s Inspector General's Office is now investigating the charter school.
I'm preparing my board of directors for a possible backlash by the public against charter schools based on what is happening at the New School. Needless to say that at the Doar School we make sure we are doing everything by the books.
