The Tony Awards
Well it looks like I cannot pick a winner. I would have preferred that "The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee" had won the Tony for best musical, or even "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" instead of Spamalot. Our family saw both of these shows and loved them.
However, there was some good news last evening. Norbert Leo Butz won the best actor in a musical award for his roll in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. It is worth the price of admission just to see him perform in this show. Also, Dan Fogler, from the 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee, took the award for best featured actor in a musical. He is also excellent. And finally, I was excited that Mike Nichols took the best director of a musical award.
