The Fight For Freedom Continues

Sorry to do this on a Friday, but today's Washington Post contains a sad story by Philip Pan regarding China's continuing persecution of individuals who advocate ideas such as freedom and capitalism. The reporter details the case of a small group of young people who would gather on college campuses as a discussion group. The president of the group was an open member of China's communist party. They were arrested and the participants received prison terms of from 8 to 10 years. An "appeal" of their cases, which was closed to friends and family of the victims, was recently denied. Its a long article but well worth the read about people who define bravery.
