Real Black Leaders
As we move further and further from the delivery of The Speech by Barak Obama I'm feeling less and less sure that it had the intended effect. The disgusting words of Reverend Wright should have resulted in repudiation of the man.
On a day when Robin Toner of the New York Times wonders whether a far left liberal can unite the country, I think it's worth reading the words of two great black thinkers who have been perfectly consistent throughout their careers. Thomas Sowell agrees with me that the address on race did not reassure him that this is the leader we need at this time in the White House. And Walter Williams reminds us that all that government does for us comes with an extremely high cost.
