Movement Updates

The Alliance for School Choice is moving to Washington, D.C. As a result, Clint Bolick, who founded this organization and who is co-founder of the Institute for Justice, is heading over to the Goldwater Institute. The Goldwater Institute is led by Darcey Olsen, who went with me to meet Colbert King almost 8 years ago to talk to him about supporting school vouchers in the city. Darcey worked at the Cato Institute at the time as an education policy analyst.

The new head of the Alliance for School Choice is Charles Hokanson, Jr., who currently works for the U.S. Department of Education.

Meanwhile, the Alliance announced that the state of Utah just approved a new school voucher plan in which any child who wants to attend private school can. Now that's a great idea.
