Let's All Add To Global Warming
by burning today's column by the Washington Post's Anne Applebaum. She calls for solving global warming by imposing a carbon tax. Great. Just what I want to do, give politicians more of my hard earned money to play around with. Mrs. Applebaum is even naive enough to think that the funds would be used to solve public policy issues like the financial crises facing social security. I am beginning to wonder if spending time in Poland is bringing her back to that nation's previous communist perspective.
Her idea is especially shocking since she has at least twice been on the Cato Institutes's Milton Friedman Prize Committee which every other year selects an individual who has done the most to promote freedom and liberty. Unbelievable.
