2 From Civil Rights Movement Endorse Quality Schools Bill
In an editorial in today's Washington Post Wade Henderson and Roger Wilkins come out strongly in favor of the bill before the D.C. Council to guarantee all children a quality education. They see the issue of good schools for exactly what it is - the last major civil rights issue in America.
So no matter what my friend Nathan says over at the D.C. Education blog, when the Council votes on July 11th they should approve this legislation. It will send an important message to everyone who has their finger in the pie of education in the nation's capital.
