Joan Kennedy Taylor 

I didn't know much about her except that she was an associate of Ayn Rand. She recently passed away and today Reason's Hit and Run publishes a moving piece by Charles Murray about her influence on him, including the fact that it was her who led to him publishing his revolutionary work "Losing Ground."
