Summaries

Stop. Do not take the easy way out and compare Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito to Anthony Scalia. It looks like he is much more similar to John Roberts. As a service to my readers I offer support for this point of view from 2 law professors, Jonathan Adler (I used to work with him at the Competitive Enterprise Institute) and Ann Althouse. Since this judge is not ideological, and therefore not someone who I would have picked, we are not going to see the nuclear right/left battle that so many pundits who look at the news superficially have already predicted.

And it looks like you don't have to worry about not being able to purchase theater tickets to the new production of "The Odd Couple" featuring "The Producers" stars Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. Here are a couple of reviewers who are not impressed by the show, Ben Brantley of the New York Times and Michael Finegold of the Village Voice.

Finally, let's together enjoy some levity regarding the Valerie Plame affair before we have to experience all the crap we have to go through on a daily basis. This from John Tierney of the New York Times (I had the pleasure of meeting him at a happy hour a couple of weeks ago).
