Tonight's The Night

This evening the D.C. Public Charter School Board will vote on which of four schools will take over Washington Academy Charter School. It should be WEDJ for these reasons:

1. WEDJ made AYP in both reading and math in just 3 years, and our upper and lower schools were only two of nine institutions in the city to reach this goal,

2. National model for America's Choice Curriculum,

3. FOCUS rated us number 9 of 55 charters in the city,

4. Leadership that knows how to go into broken schools and fix them, especially in Southeast,

5. School governance which consistently receives glowing reviews from the DCPCSB.

6. We have the people and other resources to take this job on and succeed.
