Washington's National Gallery Trying To Expand

Tyler Green reports that the National Gallery of Art is in negotiations to take over the Federal Trade Commission Building. As Mr. Green states, the National Gallery is one of the few great art museums that has not built an addition in recent years. The new space could open in 2012. Details here.

Let's hope they keep the pair of statues at the site called "Man Controlling Trade," which libertarians always point to as demonstrating the government's view that the free market must be restrained by Federal regulation.
