Quote Of The Day

From today's Washington Post story by Theola Labbe on the possibility that charter school management groups will be brought in to run some of DCPS's failing schools:

George Parker, president of the Washington Teachers' Union, said he received telephone calls from several teachers who were concerned about the charter operator option.

"We're definitely opposed to turning our public schools into charter schools," Parker said.
I guess he caught on that there are those of us out there that want all public schools to be charters.
