Milton Friedman's Influence
In his impact on freedom and liberty there may have been no one greater than Milton Friedman. You can tell how important he was by the number of organizations and people paying their respects. Yesterday, we referenced the Cato Institute, whose building on Massachusettes Avenue in Washington, D.C. should probably be named after him. Here is more reaction from:
The Institute for Justice
The Heritage Foundation
The Mackinac Center
The Objectivist Center
The Competitive Enterprise Institute
Reason Magazine
Virginia Postrel
The Washington Post
The Editors of the Wall Street Journal, and a very kind article from
The New York Times
My wife and I had the great pleasure of meeting Milton Friedman and his wife Rose at a Cato event years ago. They were so nice and respectful to everyone who came by to say hello.
