More Worried About Roberts Than Miers
As reported by Gina Holland of the Associated Press in the Washington Post last week:
New Chief Justice John Roberts stepped forward Wednesday as an aggressive defender of federal authority to block doctor-assisted suicide, as the Supreme Court clashed over an Oregon law that lets doctors help terminally ill patients end their lives. To understand the correct position in this case see the Cato Institute's amicus brief in support of the other side. It looks like once again, sadly, Judge Roberts is going to be one of those who misinterprets the Commerce Clause.
