Students Re-located Due To Katrina
Sam Dillon of the New York Times keeps us up to date on the approximately 200,000 kids who now have to find alternative schools due to the hurricane and the implications this may have for the No Child Left Behind law. Susan Kinzie of the Washington Post reports on students being accepted at local colleges.
A neighbor of ours who was scheduled to start Tulane as a freshman this fall is now at the University of Virginia. He also could have gone to the University of Richmond. My mom mentioned last night that many students have ended up at the University of Miami.
