Tax Refund Letter
Below is my latest letter to the editor of the Washington Post:
The public debate over whether it was the Bush or Clinton Administration which ignored the warning signs of 9/11/01 completely misses the point. Before the day planes crashed into the Pentagon and World Trade Center potential terrorist attacks in the U.S. were not taken seriously and now after 2,000 people died our representative in Washington D.C. realize that things should have been done differently.
April 15th is right around the corner and Im staring directly at my annual bill from our federal government. Its main constitutional mission is to protect us. Since this service was not provided I believe we are entitled to a refund. Maybe that would be one small step in beginning to hold public officials accountable for being asleep at the wheel.
