DCPS Enrollment Drops 17%
Courtesy of the D.C. Education Blog, Michael Neibauer of the D.C. examiner reports that enrollment in DCPS for this school year stands at only 43,000. This means that only 17,000 students separate the traditional schools from the charter system. So at 26,000 kids in 60 schools on 96 campuses charters now educate 38% of all public students. Next step 50%.
