Wedj Spring Fling Weekend
Today Theola Labbe of the Washington Post reports on the publicly announced cooperation between Mayor Fenty, School Board President Robert Bobb, and DCPS Superintendent Clifford Janey in the aftermath of the Council giving Fenty control over the school system. Amazing that they were able to work out all their differences in just 15 minutes. I can just feel student test scores going up.
Anyway, it seems to me awhile since Miss Labbe has had a piece in her newspaper. Perhaps she has run out of things to cover. Well I have a great idea for a story.
Next weekend the William E. Doar, Jr. Public Charter School for the Performing Arts is having it's third annual Spring Fling. Saturday during the day is a community carnival organized by the PTA. Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. is our faculty performance. I've seen the show the last two years and believe me it is not to be missed. Tickets are $40 each. Call 202 269-4646.
