I've Got You Under My Skin

Washington Post reporter Rob Stein tells us about people who have agreed to have a computer chip inserted under their skin which contains their medical record. The theory is that if they end up unconscious in an emergency room then the chip would be scanned to obtain their medical history. The hardware provides access to a web site which contains this information. The chip can also reveal data on the individual's physical location. The company that makes this product wants Washington, D.C. to be a show site for this new technology.

I predict it will take less than 5 seconds for these implanted medical histories to be available across the WWW.
