The Ayn Rand Manuscripts At The Library Of Congress
Last February The Objectivist Center held a half-day conference at the Library of Congress in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Ayn Rand's birth. At the meeting Edward Hudgins, the new Objectivist Center Executive Director, announced that the Library had the original manuscripts of "The Fountainhead" and "Atlas Shrugged," and introduced someone whom he said could help you gain access to these works. What he did not mention was the unbelievable story of Leonard Peikoff's involvement in the Library's obtaining these manuscripts, which includes an official going to Peikoff's home to forcibly secure a couple of pages of "The Fountainhead." Read and watch the whole thing here.
