Peggy Noonan
I just returned from a few days in Boston and if you are wondering what the buzz on the street is well the answer is Kerry, Kerry, Kerry, Kerry and Kerry. Yesterday I was having some chowder in Legal Seafood sitting next to a woman yelling at her mother about how the latest poll results which show that the candidate did not get a bump out of the convention are wrong. She was wearing a huge button that said "I didn't vote for his father either." What a nice way to talk about the leader of the free world.
To balance a bit the liberalism-infused air I was breathing I read that Peggy Noonan is giving up her Wall Street Journal column for the duration of the campaign to work on Bush's re-election. She writes today in a moving way about her motivations for the change.
