I'd Rather Have The Vote
Much, much too much has been written about the new President eating in D.C. restaurants and visiting schools. Well all that's O.K. But when Mr. Obama stopped by the Washington Post yesterday and was asked when residents in the nation's capital will get representation in Congress like everyone else in this country his answer was less then encouraging:
President-Elect Barack Obama told us yesterday that he's a "strong proponent" of D.C. voting rights but that "this is just a pure political issue: Can we get it done?"Not exactly how President Lincoln handled questions about slavery.
